(Yicai Global) Oct. 23 -- SAIC Volkswagen Automotive, a Chinese joint venture half-owned by the world's biggest carmaker, plans to invest CNY17 billion (USD2.5 billion) to build VW's first factory made specifically to produce electric cars using its new modular chassis, the Modularer Elektrobaukasten.
