(Yicai Global) Dec. 6 -- South Korea's President Moon Jae-in will pay a state visit to China between Dec. 13 and Dec. 16 at the invitation of China's President Xi Jinping, China Central Television CCTV reported, quoting Lu Kang, spokesman for ministry of foreign affairs. 

Presidents of the two countries Xi Jinping and Moon Jae-in met in Da Nang, Vietnam, in November. China and South Korea are neighbors forever and are partners naturally, President Xi stated at that meeting. Friendly exchanges, cooperation and mutual benefits have been the main theme of China-South Korea relations in the past 25 years since the establishment of bilateral diplomatic ties, he said, and reiterated China's stance on the issue of deployment of the US anti-ballistic Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system. 

South Korea values China's concerns on THAAD, and has no intention of damaging China's strategic security interests, Moon Jae-in said. 

On Nov. 22, China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks with his counterpart of South Korea Kang Kyung-wha at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing and both sides reached a consensus on facilitating president Moon Jae-in's visit to China in mid-December.
