(Yicai Global) June 15 -- US multinational Johnson & Johnson has opened new facilities in Beijing and Shanghai to provide medical training courses which cover simulations of surgical procedures.
The Johnson & Johnson Institutes aim to offer top-notch professional knowledge and personnel training adapted to the local medical sector, online outlet Jiemian News reported.
The New Jersey-based conglomerate runs 26 training centers worldwide, providing education to more than 125,000 healthcare professionals each year. The training centers boast professional medical equipment training laboratories and applications that use 3D technology to simulate operating rooms for medical personnel to perform practical exercises.
The global healthcare system faces severe challenges in terms of resources, Sandra Humbles, J&J's vice president for global professional education solutions said, adding that patients increasingly lack high-quality medical care. It is particularly important to enhance professional education of medical personnel, and improve patient satisfaction while reducing costs, Humbles explained.
