(Yicai Global) March 20 -- Zhejiang Shuanghuan Driveline Co. has clinched an order for 10,000 sets of joint reducers from well-known domestic industrial robot developer Efort Intelligent Equipment Co., with which it will engage in further future cooperation, the machinery and equipment maker said yesterday.
Reducers are key components for industrial robots that improve their articulation and range of movement. Foreign firms have long monopolized them.
Efort Intelligent Equipment Co. will configure Shuanghuan's reducers on some of its model robots, per the agreement. Efort has pledged to purchase a total of 10,000 unitsfrom Zhejiang province East China-based Shuanghuan before June 30, 2019. The pair also agreed to ply all-round technical collaboration to develop new future robot models, the announcement said.
The company has gradually honed its ability to make a full range of reducers aided by China's sci-tech and industry and information technology ministries, and many robot makers approve its products, the announcement said. One of China's largest industrial robot makers, Wuhu, Anhui province-based Efort provides a full range of industrial robotics and automation products and cross-industry intelligent manufacturing solutions, per the announcement.
