(Yicai Global) June 1 -- Apple's first participation in Tmall's 618 shopping festival has borne fruit as its iPhone sales surpassed CNY500 million (USD70 million) once discounting began after midnight.

Customers could receive up to an 8 percent discount to purchase iPhone 11 on Tmall, tech media outlet 36Kr reported, citing data from platform operator Alibaba Group Holding.
