(Yicai Global) May 16 -- Shanghai has closed five of the city’s 10 major makeshift Covid-19 hospitals, as daily infection rates drop. Some 68 district-level temporary transfer stations have also been shut.

Shanghai reported 69 new Covid-19 cases and 869 asymptomatic infections yesterday, according to figures the local health authority released today. It was the first day since the beginning of the outbreak that daily infections fell below 1,000.
