(Yicai Global) Jan. 7 -- Temperatures in many Chinese provinces have slumped since yesterday amid the year's first big cold spell across the country.

In Liaoning province, the municipal meteorological bureau issued a yellow warning due to the snowy and windy weather that caused some traffic jams.
