(Yicai Global) June 9 -- Chinese tech behemoth Huawei Technologies recently released an application programming interface in its updated HMS Core to help track the spread of Covid-19 among crowds, the Shenzhen-based firm announced in an XDA-Developers Android Forum today.

Based on Bluetooth technology, this API is available to governments or other organizations to develop Apps to determine whether people have had contact with Covid-19 infected persons to curb the spread of the virus and maintain the confidentiality of their information.
