(Yicai Global) July 18 -- Investors from overseas added a net USD49.3 billion worth of Chinese stocks and bonds to their portfolio in the first half of this year, the spokeswoman for the State Administration of Foreign Exchange said today.

The majority, about USD41.5 billion, was in bonds, Wang Chunying said at a press briefing, adding that actual use of foreign investment increased 7 percent from the same period a year earlier and that more cash flowed into the country's capital markets than out.
