(Yicai Global) Aug. 8 -- China's biggest cable layer Hengtong Optic-Electric has bagged a contract for the installation of a 1,200-kilometer submarine cable in Bolivia.
Subsidiary Hengtong Marine Cable System has received a letter of acceptance for the project, the Suzhou-based company said in a statement.
The company did not provide further details of the project with purchasing volumes to be decided when the final purchase is made.
The win marks another major international order for Hengtong, after contracts in Chile, Malaysia, Comoros and Maldives.
