(Yicai) Feb. 20 -- SiliconFlow, a Chinese startup focused on artificial intelligence infrastructure, has secured over CNY100 million (USD13.8 million) in a pre-A financing round.

The fundraiser was led by China Growth Capital, a Beijing-based early-stage tech venture capital firm, a source from SiliconFlow told Yicai yesterday. Puhua Capital and existing investor Glory Ventures also participated.

Before the latest financing round, SiliconFlow had brought Chinese food delivery giant Meituan as a strategic investor.

"The financing will accelerate SiliconFlow's AI cloud infrastructure upgrade and commercialization expansion," said founder Yuan Jinhui. "The company will provide high cost-performance and stable, reliable products to serve developers and enterprise clients and contribute to the implementation and prosperity of the global AI application ecosystem."

SiliconFlow will continue strengthening AI Infra technological innovation, providing developers with products that offer higher cost performance to achieve "Token Freedom," according to the company.

Founded in August 2023, SiliconFlow mainly focuses on lowering AI applications' development and usage barriers through the collaborative innovation of algorithms, systems, and hardware. Its large language model cloud service platform, SiliconCloud, provides developers with various open-source LLM application programming interfaces, including the recently launched fully functional versions of DeepSeek-R1 and V3.

SiliconCloud has seen its user base exceed three million since launching last April, with the platform handling an average of over 100 billion tokens a day. It has assisted many clients in completing various application projects, including LLMs, text-to-image generation, and video generation.
