(Yicai Global) Nov. 17 -- Dajin Heavy Industry will provide EUR73 million (USD76 million) worth of wind vane tower barrels to US renewable energy giant General Electric that will be used in Dogger Bank, the world’s largest offshore wind farm, the Chinese wind power equipment maker said today.
Dajin is supplying 41 sets of wind vane tower barrels to the UK's 3.5-gigawatt Dogger Bank Wind Farm in the North Sea, the Beijing-based company said, which is one of the biggest wind power tower and monopile suppliers in the world. No further details about the products nor the delivery timetable were given.
This is Dajin’s third big order for offshore wind power equipment in the past three weeks. Last month it said it is supplying EUR122.8 million (USD127.6 million) worth of gear and structural components to France’s NOY - Ile D'Yeu et Noirmoutier offshore wind farm and Britain’s Moray West offshore wind farm.
The latest order marks the transition of the company’s wind power equipment exports to Europe to mainly offshore products from onshore ones, it said. It is also proof that Dajin is well regarded by overseas customers in terms of its products' technical specifications and quality, as well as its project management and delivery times, it said.
Dajin’s stock price [SHE: 002487] closed flat today at CNY43.98 (USD6).
