(Yicai Global) Nov. 22 -- BAIC Mobility Co. plans to roll out roughly 11,000 shared cars in 10 cities across China by the end of this year, or before the Chinese New Year (Feb. 16, 2018), at the latest, said Yue Dianwei, the company's general manager, at the 2nd Zhongguancun Digital Cultural Festival held in Beijing Nov 13-15.

BAIC Mobility plans to expand the car sharing scheme to the entire Yunnan province. It has already unveiled the service in the provincial capital, Kunming. The shared-car industry enjoys huge potential in the touristic provinces in southwest China, Yue said.

BAIC Mobility, a subsidiary of state-owned BAIC Group, provides services in the whole industrial chain of mobility such as car sharing, online car-hailing, taxis and smart buses based on the BAIC new energy vehicles (NEV).
