(Yicai Global) July 4 -- A 5.6-magnitude earthquake, stemming from 8 kilometers below the ground, has struck Gongxian county, Yibin city, which is located in southwestern China's Sichuan province, at 10:17 a.m. No casualties have been reported yet.
Sichuan is in a quake-prone zone and 11 such incidents exceeding the level of 4.0 have happened since June 17 when a 6.0-magnitude earthquake shook Changning county in Yibin, raising the death toll to 13 people as of the next day.
