Chinese local governments issued new bonds worth CNY1.24 trillion (USD172 billion) in the first quarter of this year, data from the Ministry of Finance showed. Special bonds accounted for CNY960.3 billion (USD131.8 billion), and general bonds the remaining CNY279.1 billion.
