Shanghai’s GDP jumped 5.1% in the first quarter from a year earlier to CNY1.27 trillion (USD175 billion), the municipal bureau of statistics said today. Financial Intermediation and Information Transmission, Software, and Information Technology sectors together contributed more than 60% to the city’s GDP growth.
