According to the data collected in the second week of April, the reporter of "Daily Economic News" found that a total of 9 listed companies have been exposed to environmental risks in the near future.

One week of green review: Northern Rare Earth Holding Company was fined

In addition to factors such as enterprise management capabilities, financial status, and industry competition, environmental risks have increasingly become one of the important operational risks of listed companies. Environmental risk is as important as it is about the company's image.

According to the data of this issue of the Green Weekly, risk information such as violations of laws and regulations in the field of ecology and environment is linked to a total of 9 listed companies. Among them, 4 are state-owned controlled enterprises.

The reporter of "Daily Economic News" combed and found that there are 1,254,800 shareholders behind 9 listed companies, and the investment targets are on the environmental risk list, which may expose them to investment risks.

It is worth noting that Hengfeng County Jincen Water Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Jincen Water), a holding company of Jindalai Holdings, was fined 280,000 yuan by the Shangrao Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment for changing the original nature and use of rectangular ditches (pipe ditches) and discharging sewage into the external environment.

According to the penalty letter issued on the official website of the Shangrao Municipal People's Government with the document number "Rao Huan Penalty [2025] No. 6-2", after on-site investigation and verification by the Shangrao Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau, it was confirmed that Jincen Water had changed the original nature and use of the rectangular ditch (pipe ditch), resulting in the environmental violation of the environmental violation that the sewage in the sewage regulating tank flowed back to the rectangular ditch (pipe ditch) in reverse flow to the rectangular ditch (pipe ditch) and then overflowed into the external environment through the reserved two culverts (rainwater overflow outlets). In accordance with Article 28 of the Administrative Punishment Law of the People's Republic of China and Article 83, Paragraph 3 of the Water Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People's Republic of China, Jincen Water was fined 280,000 yuan by the Shangrao Municipal Ecological Environment Bureau.

According to the penalty letter with the document number "Baohuan Penalty 150207 [2025] No. 1" included in Credit China, the daily average concentration of carbon monoxide in Baotou Luyuan on September 22, 2024 exceeded the standard, and the daily average concentration of carbon monoxide exceeded the standard for 1 day, and the daily average concentration of carbon monoxide was calculated to be 152.736mg/L, the daily average concentration of carbon monoxide exceeded the standard of 72.736mg/L, and the cumulative daily average concentration of carbon monoxide exceeded the standard by 0.9092 times. In accordance with Article 99, Item 2 of the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Control of Air Pollution, Baotou Luyuan was fined 109,092 yuan by the Baotou Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment.

Environmental penalties: Chifeng Gold received environmental fines

According to the data of this issue of the Green Weekly, Liaoning Wulong Gold Mining Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Wulong Mining), the holding company of Chifeng Gold (SH600988, share price 25.7 yuan, market value 48.841 billion yuan), was fined 246,000 yuan by the Dandong Ecological Environment Bureau for starting production without acceptance of the environmental protection facilities built by the supporting facilities.

According to the penalty letter issued on the official website of the Dandong Ecological Environment Bureau with the document number "Danhuan Zhen'an Penalty Decision Zi [2025] No. 3", the 3000t/d gold concentrator of Wulong Mining was completed at the end of 2021 and put into operation in January 2022. At the time of the on-site inspection, production was running in the workshop. The above behavior constitutes the situation that the environmental protection facilities for supporting construction have not been accepted, and the concentrator has been put into production without authorization. According to the first paragraph of Article 23 of the Regulations on the Administration of Environmental Protection of Construction Projects, Wulong Mining was fined 246,000 yuan by the Dandong Ecological Environment Bureau.

On April 10, the reporter called Chifeng Gold, and the operator said that he was currently following up on the punishment and had checked the interview letter. In addition, according to the penalty book with the document number "Quhuan Zhizao Penalty [2025] No. 18", Quzhou Minxin Food Co., Ltd., a holding company of Huatong Co., Ltd., was fined 296,000 yuan by the Quzhou Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment in accordance with Article 34, Paragraph 1 of the Regulations on the Administration of Pollutant Discharge Permits, for discharging pollutants in excess of the standard, exceeding the total amount, and evading supervision with a pollutant discharge permit.
