21st Century Business Herald reporter Lin Dianchi reported from Shenzhen

On January 2, the reporter learned from Shenzhen that in 2024, Shenzhen will build and put into use 1,002 supercharging stations and more than 410,000 charging piles, taking the lead in the world to achieve the number of overcharging stations and charging guns to exceed gas stations and refueling guns.

In June 2023, Shenzhen will start the construction of a "supercharging city". The 2024 Shenzhen government work report clearly states that 50,000 new charging piles, 10 comprehensive energy supply stations, and strive to reach 1,000 supercharging stations. Today, the goal of 1,000 supercharging stations has been achieved as scheduled.

Under the promotion of local governments such as Shenzhen, the construction of supercharging stations is in full swing, driving the rapid development of the industrial chain, but in the process of development, the top-level design of relevant supercharging standards still needs to be improved.

In March 2024, Shenzhen issued the country's first local standards for the grading evaluation of supercharging equipment and the design of supercharging stations, which were officially implemented on April 1 of the same year.

These two standards are the first in the industry to put forward the definition of terms such as "super charging equipment" and "full liquid-cooled overcharging equipment", among which it is clarified for the first time that the rated power of a single gun of overcharging equipment is not less than 480kW, and the all-liquid-cooled overcharging equipment is positioned as a charging power conversion unit, vehicle plug and charging cable supercharging equipment using liquid-cooled technology.

In 2024, Shenzhen will continue to strengthen more new energy technology innovation and scenario integration demonstration applications, and Shenzhen will release the digital energy pioneer urban planning and power charging, storage and discharging network 2.0, and build a total of 100 interactive demonstration stations for photovoltaic storage and supercharging vehicle networks, 151 V2G vehicle network interactive stations, and the virtual power plant management platform 3.0 with a real-time adjustable load of 840,000 kilowatts, equivalent to the electricity demand of 140,000 households, helping the urban energy system accelerate the green transformation and gradually form a green production and lifestyle.

One of the pain points restricting the promotion of new energy vehicles is charging, with less charging pile configuration and long charging time, and the emergence of overcharging can solve the two major difficulties.

On the whole, the construction of the "supercharging city" is one of the embodiments of Shenzhen's new energy vehicle infrastructure construction, and complements the construction of a "new generation of world-class automobile city".

According to Shenzhen's release, Shenzhen's output of new energy vehicles in 2024 is expected to exceed 2.8 million, and the output will remain the leading in the country.

According to the director of the Shenzhen New Energy Vehicle Industry Office, from January to October this year, the penetration rate of new energy vehicles in Shenzhen has reached 75.9%, which means that about 76 out of every 100 new cars in Shenzhen are new energy vehicles.

As of October, there were more than 1.19 million new energy vehicles, accounting for 27.4% of the total, and more than 400,000 charging infrastructure.

Pointing to the "city of supercharging", Shenzhen also proposed to promote the intelligent and orderly transformation of AC charging piles, accelerate the high-power upgrade of DC fast charging stations, and build more than 60 comprehensive energy supply stations and no less than 600,000 charging facilities by 2025.

Thanks to the accumulation of power electronics technology, Shenzhen has also given birth to a number of listed companies related to charging piles, including BYD (002594. SZ), Daotong Technology (688208.SH), Shenghong (300693.SZ), Topband (002139.SZ).
