(Yicai Global) Nov. 29 -- ZTE and the Shanghai unit of China Telecom have joined hands for the world's first fifth-generation wireless network test on a high-speed maglev train.

The network was stable throughout the test period as the train that departed from Shanghai accelerated its speed to close to 500 kilometers per hour, the Shenzhen-based telecoms firm said in a statement on its website today.
