(Yicai Global) Nov. 29 -- Chinese TV program producer Zhejiang Talent Television & Film Co. (ZTTF) [SHE:300426], currently embroiled in a legal dispute over the copyright for the TV show, The Voice of China, intends to file an arbitration case through Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre against Dutch TV producer Talpa Media BV.
Talent Television received a letter from Talpa Media about the termination of a license agreement regarding The Voice of China, requiring it to pay USD41.25 million in expenses, the country said in a press briefing on Nov. 13.

Talpa Media has been previously embroiled in legal disputes with another two Chinese companies over popular TV show The Voice of China. Shanghai Canxing Culture & Broadcast Co. reached an agreement with Talpa as early as 2012, to use "The Voice of ..." format in China, and said it was the company's exclusive right to renew the agreement until 2018.
ZTTF signed a USD60 million letter of intent with Talpa in January this year, acquiring the relevant rights to 'The Voice of ...' format and providing relevant services.
The three companies have since been embroiled in a series of lawsuits related to the rights.
The Talent Television share price started to fall after the company announced the dispute before rebounded last week. It closed at CNY20.48 on Nov. 27, a decline from CNY24.7 on Nov. 13.
