(Yicai Global) April 18 -- Yicai Global will host its New York Spring Forum 2019 today to discuss how science and technology will change the future, inviting key speakers and guests to participate.

The forum that starts at 5 p.m. considers what are the great changes that the age of artificial intelligence and Big Data bring about for humankind. Jeannette M. Wing, Avanessians director of the Data Sciences Institute at Columbia University and professor of computer science, and Guyan Liu, founder and fund manager of Miles GL Capital Management, will discuss this topic.

The forum will also ponder on whether technology will promote or undermine the development of our society, and if blockchain can address some key issues. David Chen, founding managing partner of AngelVest Technologies and chief financial officer of Hanson Robotics and Peter Micek, the general counsel at Access Now, a global digital rights organization, will be commenting on this topic. 

Yicai Global, the English-language news service of Shanghai-based Yicai Media Group, has become a vertical financial medium in China with global influence. Yicai Global and Bank of China co-host the annual forum which counts the US unit of the Chinese Association of Science and Technology, as well as the Chinese Finance Association of America as its strategic partners.
