(Yicai Global) July 30 -- China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region will have a railroad network covering more than 8,000 kilometers by 2022, according to the State Council.
The region added 925 kilometers over the past five years and has another 2,013 under construction, the cabinet said at a press briefing today.
Xinjiang has also built or expanded nine airports, giving a total of 21 in the region, and will start constructing three new airports this year and five next year, the cabinet added, saying there will be 30 airports in the region by 2022.
