(Yicai Global) Nov. 27 -- Beijing-based handset maker and smart home developer Xiaomi may announce a partnership with Almhult, Sweden-headquartered home furnishing and decor supplier IKEA at the MIDC Xiaomi Artificial Intelligence + Internet of Things Developer Conference in Beijing tomorrow.

The two may cooperate in the fields of smart homes and IoT, Chinese online tech media 36Kr reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

No further details of the putative cooperation were forthcoming, however. The two-day conference will start tomorrow.
