World Laureates Association to Build Research Lab in Lingang World Laureates Association to Build Research Lab in Lingang

(Yicai Global) Nov. 1 -- The World Laureates Association will construct an international research lab in Shanghai's Lingang, the new addition to the eastern city's free trade zone.

The WLA announced the World Laureates Association Shanghai Center project, which involves the fields of artificial intelligence, semiconductors, aerospace, green energy, new materials, and quantum science, at the closing ceremony of the World Laureates Forum yesterday in Shanghai.

The second World Laureates Forum discussed the challenges facing humankind, attracting 44 Nobel Prize laureates and 21 other academic award winners.

The Hong Kong-headquartered organization encouraged world-class scientists to participate in the project that could fuel Shanghai's development toward becoming a global research hub.

Last August, China added Lingang to Shanghai's FTZ and provided policy stimulus to attract international and domestic companies to set up shop there.
