(Yicai Global) Sept. 22 -- Chinese women's lifestyle channel, Hi Better Me, which operates on Tencent Holdings Ltd.'s [HKG:0700] WeChat, raised tens of millions of yuan in its A-round financing on Sept. 21 with investors including Fashion Capital and DT Capital Partners, online media outlet Jiemian News reported.
Hi Better Me focuses on sharing information about women's lifestyles, including fashion, skin care and other cosmetics. Analysts believe the channel could already be raking in profit of tens of millions of yuan every year.
After the financing round, Hi Better Me will continue to share information but develop other aspects, such as building a community, promoting its private cosmetics brand, direct marketing and releasing short video clips. It hopes to expand quickly.
The platform secured CNY4 million (USD606,520) in angel round financing from Pengpai Capital in September 2015.
