(Yicai) May 28 -- The Walt Disney Company's China arm has named Zhang Ming its new managing director to drive the development and growth of the US entertainment giant's film, content sales, and entertainment businesses in the Chinese mainland.
Zhang will report to Luke Kang, president of Walt Disney Asia Pacific, Disney China announced today.
Zhang previously served as general manager of direct-to-consumer business and chief financial officer of Disney Asia Pacific, the company noted. She will continue to be responsible for the strategy and corporate development of Disney's entertainment business in the region.
Born in Nanjing, Zhang graduated from Seton Hill University and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She joined Disney in 2017 as head of strategy and corporate development for China. Previously, she was a managing partner of McKinsey & Company in the country.
