Vatti Resumes Distribution in Beijing, Tianjin After Suspension Vatti Resumes Distribution in Beijing, Tianjin After Suspension

(Yicai Global) July 11 -- Chinese home appliance maker Vatti has restarted distribution operations in the northern cities of Beijing and Tianjin after the disappearance of staff at one of the firm's suppliers had led to a suspension in the region.

The Guangdong-based company has resumed deliveries, after-sale service and installations of all products in the cities, Beijing Business Today reported.

The company obtained a court order on June 29 to seal up premises at its Beijing and Tianjin operations after two sales agents went missing for more than 10 days amid defaults on debts. Vatti sent extra employees to the region to deal with the issue. Vatti focused on distributing goods for which payment had been received from other regions while providing strong support for after-sale and service systems.

The firm's e-commerce performance was unaffected by stagnant sales from distributors in Beijing and Tianjin, and is now registering steady sales, a company executive revealed. The enterprise will deploy additional staff to ensure prompt goods deliveries.

The company hit the headlines recently after it promised customers full refunds on a range of products purchased in June if the French national team lifts the World Cup. Vatti would owe customers some CNY29 million (USD4.3 million) in reimbursements if Les Bleus claim the World Cup in Moscow next week.
