(Yicai Global) Oct. 11 -- Two transport infrastructure design firms have denied reports that they created the highway in Jiangsu province that collapsed yesterday, killing three and leaving two injured, though their share prices moved in opposite directions.

JSTI Group's stock [SHE:300284] was up 0.68 percent at CNY8.86 (USD1.25) as of 1.23 p.m., while shares in China Design Group [SHA:601018] were down 1.2 percent at CNY11.67 as of the same time.

JSTI did design a highway near where the incident occurred, in Jiangsu's lakeside city of Wuxi, but played no role in the overpass in question, it said. CDG said has nothing to do with the unfortunate accident, which was reportedly the result of being traversed by an overloaded vehicle.
