(Yicai Global) Jan. 27 -- China Real Estate Association called on all its members and the sector as a whole to temporarily suspend the operation of their sales offices until the coronavirus pneumonia epidemic ends in a statement the organization released yesterday.

Property management companies should actively cooperate with government and community agencies to institute proper measures, including preventive identification, personnel registration, disinfection and logistics services, the statement said.

The association also demanded that companies operating leased and long-term rental apartments take effective steps to disinfect their rental apartments and closely monitor the health status of tenants.

At least 16 provinces and cities across the country had suspended realty sales as of yesterday, the Nanfang Metropolis Daily reported.
