The jury believes that Pedicap is full of humanity and the universality in simple style, which is concise and easy to understand. "For the humanism and universality of the story, for the simplicity of the style and realization — for the non-conformism with which it represented our desire to believe that there is a sense in this universe, the award for the best film goes to Pedicab, from the Philippines," said the grand jury president Romanian director Cristian Mungiu.
The best actress award went to Sareh Bayat in the Iranian film 'Yellow.' She is a well-known actress in Iran.
