(Yicai Global) Nov. 3 -- TF Securities and Haitong Securities denied that analysts at the Chinese brokerage firms had released information about the adjustments in Covid-19 prevention and control policies.
“Some clients asked me whether the Covid-19 policies will change or not,” an analyst at the securities brokerage told Yicai Global. “I was confused because I did not know anything about the matter nor why my name appeared in the news that circulated online.”
The quarantine period for close contacts and people arriving in the Chinese mainland from abroad, Taiwan, and special administrative regions Hong Kong and Macao, will be reduced to five days of centralized quarantine and two days of health monitoring at home, according to the reports the analysts allegedly released. Indirect contacts will no longer have to be isolated, there will be no more medium-risk areas, and circuit breaker measures will be canceled, the reports also noted.
TF Securities and Haitong Securities told Yicai Global they did not know anything about the news.
