(Yicai Global) Jan. 18 -- Tesla's Chinese unit Tuosule Auto Sales Beijing will recall more than 14,000 imported Model S vehicles because of airbag safety issues, China's State Administration for Market Regulation said on its website today.
The affected cars were imported between Feb. 4, 2014 and Dec. 9, 2016, the agency said. Tuosule Auto will replace the front passenger airbags for free. The defective airbags use an inflator that could damage them when deployed, injuring passengers.
