(Yicai Global) Aug. 23 -- Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory is expected to have finished its power facilities and be ready to connect to the grid by the end of September, the Shanghai Observer reported today, citing the municipal arm of the State Grid. 

The plant, capable of making 150,000 Model 3 cars a year in the preliminary phase, is scheduled to enter operations before the end of the year.
