(Yicai Global) Dec. 27 -- Californian electric car giant Tesla put its first Asian V3 charging pile into operations at a super charging station in Shanghai today.
The new pile has double the efficiency of its predecessor and a peak capacity of 250 kilowatts, the firm said, adding that it can provide a Tesla Model 3 with enough charge in five minutes to drive 120 kilometers.
The EV giant has more than 300 super charging stations with 2,200 charging piles in 140 Chinese cities, as well as 2,100 other charging piles.
