(Yicai Global) May 17 -- Chinese tech giant Tencent Holdings will provide technical services to the country's largest passenger car dealership, Shanghai-based China Grand Automotive Services Group, to help it adapt to the new retail era.
Shenzhen-based Tencent's affiliate Tencent Technology (Shenzhen), China Grand Auto, Chang'an Automobile (Group), one of China's major carmakers, and the China Automobile Dealers Association penned a cooperation agreement yesterday, China Grand Auto announced that same day.
The parties will collaborate over the next three years to boost China Grand Auto's resources, channels and data-sharing with auto makers and trade associations and accelerate the smart upgrade of its stores to lift its used-car sales.
The agreement is preliminary, and the parties will hammer out its specifics and execution later, the announcement added.
