(Yicai Global) June 18 -- A cloud computing unit of Tencent Holdings will team up with Heren Health to promote the application of cloud computing and internet video technologies in primary care institutions.

Tencent Cloud Computing penned a cooperation framework agreement with Heren Health, the Hangzhou-based medical technology firm said in a statement. The pair will build a smart hospital platform on Tencent's WeChat in order to provide communication means between patients and medical institutions, the statement added.

The parties will apply smart technologies in medical image recognition, multidisciplinary consultation and other medical scenarios to help improve the service efficiency of clinics. The two sides will also develop network security solutions to avert the risks of cyberattacks and data leaks.
