(Yicai Global) Sept. 3 -- Chinese tech giant Tencent Holdings purchased HKD36.43 million (USD4.6 million) worth of its shares on the Hong Kong market yesterday. Its stocks rose slightly today.
Tencent completed a share repurchase involving 110,000 stocks, making up 0.00115 percent of the outstanding shares, the Shenzhen-based company said in a statement today, without disclosing the reason behind the move. The price per share was from HKD328.6 to HKD333.4 (from USD41.90 up).
Tencent's [HKG:0700] stock price rose 2.3 percent to HKD336.8 this morning after closing 0.6 percent lower yesterday.
