(Yicai Global) Dec. 13 -- Chinese internet titan Tencent Holdings Ltd. [HK:0700] released its new Big Data platform for enterprises and governments, Tencent Hui Ju. They can use it for firefighting, police affairs, transportation, meteorology and electric power operation.

The Shenzhen-based group hosted a conference in Beijing today,  and released its new platform there, online media outlet Guang Ming reported. The system will use data from Tencent's 1 billion users and 30,000 servers to help businesses improve operating efficiency.

It will use Big Data technologies to share and transfer information between government departments to establish a highly-efficient complete, unified and seamless public service system, a Tencent source said.

Tencent announced its cooperation with Nanjing University of Science and Technology and Harbin Institute of Technology at the forum. They will build a Big Data laboratory for transportation and research artificial intelligence applications.
