Tencent, Qualcomm and Vivo Unite to Form Robotic E-Sports Team

(Yicai Global) April 19 -- The world's largest gaming firm Tencent Holdings has joined hands with American chip giant Qualcomm and Chinese phonemaker Vivo to put together an e-sports team made up of artificially intelligent players, according to the 21st Century Business Herald.

The trio unveiled the plan at Qualcomm's AI Open Day in Shenzhen, Guangdong province. The team, named Supex, will begin playing multiplayer online battle arena games like Arena of Valor, a popular mobile game developed by Tencent.
