Tencent Offers China's Biggest CRM Funding to IngageApp Tencent Offers China's Biggest CRM Funding to IngageApp

(Yicai Global) Sept. 5 -- Renke Interactive Network Technology, which runs IngageApp, has secured USD120 million, the largest round of funding in the Chinese sector of customer relationship management platforms.

IngageApp, known in China as Xiaoshouyi, completed its E-round of financing, led by the sole participant of Tencent Holdings, 36Kr reported today.

Tencent seems to have its eyes on the CRM sector as it participated in IngageApp's two earlier rounds of funding. It invested CNY100 million (USD14 million) in the D+ round in April 2018, as well as CNY280 million in the D round in January 2017. The Shenzhen-based tech giant has also increased its investments in two WeChat e-commerce platforms Youzan and Weimob.

IngageApp helps enterprises connect with customers more efficiently while Tencent understands consumers so the pair will provide firms with a comprehensive digital solution to link up their internal and external partners, as well as users, to bridge the entire value chain, Shi Yanze, the founder and chief executive of the Beijing-based startup told 36Kr.
