(Yicai Global) Aug. 9 -- The Tencent Cloud end-user service of Shenzhen-based Tencent Group Holdings has issued a statement in the case of the commercial data loss of its one of its customers, pledging to help it get back up on its feet.

Cnclead.Com recently published an article in which it stated that Tencent Cloud's servers lost all its stored data and called into question the security of the file backup service.

The company was a startup that began with an account on Tencent's WeChat messaging and third-party payment platform that it registered in 2014. It focused on the numerical control, molding and mechanical industries. Burgeoning traffic and its need for security prompted Cnclead.Com to store its data on Tencent Cloud's servers, but this all went missing on July 20.

Cnclead.Com's website has now ceased operating. Its closure will cost it its active users and goodwill and it will face great challenges in resuming operations, it stated.

Advertisers have also demanded refunds and compensation and it is confronting an existential crisis, the firm said. Tencent Cloud earlier offered it CNY136,000 (USD20,000) but Cnclead.com turned this down, countering with a demand for CNY11 million (USD1.6 million).
