(Yicai Global) Dec. 5 -- Tech companies led gainers as China's mainland stock markets rose during the morning session, resulting in Shenzhen's tech-heavy startup index surging much faster the country's two biggest benchmarks.
The Shanghai Composite Index closed 0.32 percent higher at 2,887.39 for lunch, while the Shenzhen Component Index was at 9,748.05, up 0.62 percent. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, leaped 1.49 percent to 1,698.65.
