(Yicai) Nov. 30 -- Yicai visited the Zootopia-themed land at Shanghai Disneyland almost one month before the official opening to the public.

City of Zootopia, which will be the first Zootopia-themed land among all Disneyland resorts, will open on Dec. 20. It will feature Zootopia: Hot Pursuit, an attraction using a trackless riding system featuring Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps, the two protagonists of Zootopia, an animated adventure-comedy movie produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios.

In City of Zootopia, visitors can find animal residences, a store selling ice creams and donuts in different sizes to satisfy the needs of different animals, buildings, roads, and traffic lights, just like in the animated movie. Among the merchandise on sale in the themed land, there will be collectibles, toys, figurines, and even power banks, all available in different sizes.

Shanghai Disneyland’s opening of City of Zootopia at the end of the year will significantly increase the number of visitors in the short term and boost tourism-related consumption ahead of the New Year and Spring Festival holidays, said Zhao Huanyan, chief knowledge expert at Huamei Consulting Group.
