(Yicai Global) Sept. 18 -- Some 17 cities in China had total household deposits worth over CNY500 billion (USD76.4 billion) last year, while in six cities the figure was over CNY1 trillion, data from 29 major cities shows.

Unsurprisingly, the better-developed east of the country had higher per-capita deposits than the west.
