(Yicai Global) Dec. 14 – A wholly-owned unit of Sinopec Oilfield Service will continue to provide drilling rigs for Saudi Arabia's largest oil company, Saudi Aramco, following the signing of a new supply contract.
Sinopec International Petroleum Service recently renewed the supply contract with Saudi Aramco for four drilling rigs with a value of some USD286 million and a period of five years, the oil exploration service provider of Chinese petrochemical giant Sinopec Group said in a statement yesterday.
The contract will further strengthen the firm's position as the largest onshore drilling contractor for Saudi Aramco, the statement added.
Sinopec International Petroleum Service has actively expanded in the international oilfield service market in recent years and is the largest onshore drilling contractor for Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and other oil producing nations in the Middle East.
