Sino-Russian Long-Distance Wide-Body Passenger Plane to Be Assembled in Shanghai

(Yicai Global) Nov. 3 -- The joint venture project between China and Russia to develop a long-distance wide-body passenger plane has made new progress.

A scale model of the plane was unveiled at the ongoing 11th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition by representatives of China Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd.

At the exhibition, it was disclosed that the Sino-Russian company will complete registration with relevant bodies this year and the plane will be assembled in Shanghai.

In June, COMAC and JSC United Aircraft Corporation, OAK in Russian signed the joint venture contract on the wide-bodied plane technology project. The passenger plane adopts the dual-aisle cabin layout, with 280 seats and a flight distance of 12,000 kilometers.
