(Yicai) Oct. 13 -- The Singaporean unit of Shanghai Tunnel Engineering has won an SGD622 million (USD454 million) contract from Singapore Changi Airport to build underground tunnels.
STEC Singapore will build tunnels and underground structures for Changi Airport and restore the facilities and roads affected by the construction, the Shanghai-based parent company said yesterday. The project duration will be around five years, to be completed in October 2028, it added.
STEC is a Chinese comprehensive service provider for urban infrastructure construction and operation. It is engaged in the transportation, architecture, real estate, water conservancy, energy, underground space, major equipment, green materials, digital business, and construction finance fields.
Shares of Shanghai Tunnel Engineering [SHA: 600820] were trading down 0.5 percent at CNY5.60 (77 US cents) as of today’s lunch break in Shanghai.
