(Yicai Global) Jan. 9 -- Germany's international electrical technology giant Siemens will provide digital technology consulting services to Seagull Kitchen and Bath Product's production base for bathroom equipment in east China's Zhejiang province for CNY2 million (USD300,000).

The company recently signed a technical assistance agreement with Beijing-based Siemens Ltd., China, the Guangzhou-headquartered bathroom equipment and sanitary ware maker announced on Jan. 7. 

Siemens will check the existing layout of Seagull's main production base in Jiaxing, a satellite city of Shanghai in Zhejiang province, and design the new digital factory within it, the announcement said.

The move aims to exploit Siemens' expertise in automation and digital planning in electronics and electrical and mechanical technology to promote lean production, raise its efficiency and lower its costs, per the announcement.
