(Yicai Global) Oct. 19 -- Shanghai Chuanglan Culture Broadcasting Ltd.'s short message platform 253.com received tens of millions of yuan in series A financing from Zhejiang Hongfan Investment Management Co.
The site will use the proceeds to fund technological research and development, international business expansion and the standardization of its corporate finance in a bid to bring customers better experiences, expand its international short message services (SMS) and pave the way for its growth enterprise market initial public offering expected in 2019, Iyiou.com reported.
Founded in 2009, 253.com began providing corporate short message services in 2015.
It cooperates with China Mobile Communications Corp. [HK:0941], China United Network Communications Ltd. [SHA:600050; HK:0762; NYSE:CHU] and China Telecom Corp. [HK:0728; NYSE:CHA].
253.com is a cloud communication PaaS (Platform as a Service) that integrates short message, voice and data traffic products. Its business includes corporate SMS, voice SMS, international SMS and group emailing. The site has 150,000 registered users including 19,000 paid contract users.
