(Yicai Global) Nov. 21 -- China's stock markets kept climbing in the afternoon session today, especially Shenzhen, which closed up more than 1 percent.
Trading volume also rose from yesterday.
Financial sectors maintained their strong performance in the morning, with securities brokerages up 4.1 percent and insurance up 2.23 percent. Nearly ten sectors had climbed more than 1 percent at the final ring.
Building Materials, nonferrous metal and instrumentation fell behind, but no sector dropped more than 1 percent. The Shanghai Composite Index ascended 0.53 percent to 3,410.50 points at the finish, with turnover of USD40.01 billion (CNY265.3 billion) for a gain on yesterday's CNY228.3 billion. The Shenzhen Component Index closed at 11,602.10 points, up 1.44 percent, with turnover of CNY297.2 billion, against Friday's CNY261.1 billion. The Growth Enterprise Index, with mostly small-cap companies, dimmed 0.15 percent to 1,856.96 points, with CNY70.83 billion exchanged, compared with Friday's CNY63 billion.
